So it’s been announced that to further the Archie Andrews story lines, as Archie and his friends graduate college  (it only took him, what, 60 years?) that he’s going to ask Veronica to marry him.

And everybody lost their minds.

I mean, how can Archie choose a rich, vain, stuck up brunette over a wholesome, fun, tomboyish, hot blonde who goes goo-goo everytime she sees you?  Are you crazy, Arch?  Wtf?!

I have the answer.  Archie’s following his heart.  Since I was kid, there have been a few facts I’ve come to realize.  The Cubs suck, I’ll never be an astronaut, it hurts to fall off of a moving motorcycle, and ARCHIE LOVES VERONICA!  Just like you, Archie must follow his heart.

Would you give up the person you were madly in love with, just because someone with a nicer personality was in love with you?  Even if you dated them from time to time, and were very good friends with them?  Very unlikely.  Why?  Because you love someone else.

Besides, knowing an Archie comic, it’ll turn out to be an elaborate hoax, or a dream, or whatever.
