I got to step away from both the computer and unpacking (yes, still…) this past Sunday and get creative and crazy for Jessica and Patrick’s engagement shoot. I love it when the couples are up for some fun as opposed to stiff and stuffy, or wanting pictures that don’t fit their personality.

Jess and Pat wanted to have some fun but still have something nice for the parents, so we ran downtown on Queen Street East, then back up to King City for a bit of countryside lounging (and laughter). They’re a great young couple that are obviously in love, though they sometimes needed a bit of a push to show it. When they do, though, there’s no denying their connection.

I’ll be shooting their wedding in August, after my ‘vacation.’ By ‘vacation,’ I mean forgetting that I live in a pile of boxes, heading to Sudbury to do family stuff and let them have Lisa’s baby shower while I fish, and come back to boxes.

Waitaminute… Something is very strange here… I seem to shoot a lot of weddings when the names of the people include a ‘Patrick,’ or a ‘Melissa.’ Including one wedding for Melissa & Patrick. Hmmm… Could it be a vortex in space, like every other Star Trek episode?

Would you also believe that I didn’t make the connection between mentioning Star Trek and using ‘engaged’ in the title the way I did until I previewed my post?
