BSE PRO WRESTLING - Nov. 6th at Markham Fairgrounds

For those who aren't wrestling fans, old time wrestling leagues usually held their shows in circus tents or barns. Even today, just like in hockey, old arenas are called barns. On this night, a small, independent wrestling organization literally wrestled in a barn. The Livestock Arena in Markham has a dirt floor and smells like cow poop. The fans didn't care. There were quite a few people out there - more than I thought would brave hay in both it's pre and post digested forms...

Despite the aroma, it was really cool being behind the scenes, seeing these guys talk about their matches and spots, the more seasoned guys giving advice to the new guys, especially Hotshot Johnny Devine showing two guys how to get a guy in the air for a powerbomb. Thanks to the wrestlers and organizers who pulled back the curtain for me.

Enough with the chitchat, on to the pictures!!
